Douglas A. Lewis of 125 S. Barry St., Olean, NY

OLEAN, NY - Douglas A. Lewis of 125 S. Barry St., passed away Wednesday (March 3, 2010) at home from an apparent heart attack.

Born on July 19, 1960, in Olean, he was a son of Daryl and Donna Mae Stoll Lewis.

Mr. Lewis attended Olean High School. He was a cook for a number of restaurants in the area including Perkins Restaurant for 13 years from 1988 to 2001. Mr. Lewis worked odd jobs for a number of years after that until he retired due to illness. He enjoyed all sports and music, especially jazz. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Surviving are his mother, Donna Mae Swanson of Smethport, PA; brother David C. (Rhonda) Lewis of Olean; sisters, Ruthann Riehle of Conewango, Kathryn F. Darcy of Smethport; and six nephews and two nieces.

Mr. Lewis is predeceased by his fiancé, Linda Johnston, on Dec. 3, 1999.

Friends were received at the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home, Inc., 646 E. State St. on Monday (March 8, 2010), from noon to 2 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services were held. The Rev. Douglas E. Travis, Pastor of the Harvest Field Outreach Center, will officiate. Burial will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery, Olean.
