PITT-BRADFORD OFFERS FREE HOUSING FOR SUMMER STUDENTS

PITT-BRADFORD OFFERS FREE HOUSING FOR SUMMER STUDENTS

BRADFORD, Pa. – For the third year, the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will offer free campus housing to students taking at least three credits in on-campus courses this summer.

Rising Pitt-Bradford sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as students currently not enrolled and transfer students are eligible to apply for the grant. Entering freshmen are not eligible. Free housing will also be available for students taking online courses as long as another three-credit course is taken at some point during the summer.

This offer applies to any of the summer sessions, ranging from four to 12 weeks, beginning May 10 and ending July 22. The weekly housing fee of $125 a week will be waived for the session that the student has registered for and cannot be applied to other semesters.

“The summer housing grant is a great opportunity for students to catch up or get ahead on their college credits while saving money,” said Craig Dillaman, director of housing. “It is also a good time for students to explore the region and enjoy the local trails, recreational areas and summer festivities that occur when they are normally away,” Dillaman said.

Housing at Pitt-Bradford is apartment-style, and suites include kitchenettes, living rooms, wiring for cable TV and ample storage space.

Students who drop below the required three credits or do not successfully complete the three credit requirement will be responsible for paying full room fees back from the start of the session.

Applications for interested students are available in the Office of Residential Life and Housing. For questions or for more information contact the office of Residential Life and Housing at 814-362-7630.
