Two Injured In One Car Crash On Route 44 Last Tuesday

2 Injured In One Car Crash
State Police have released information on the one vehicle crash last Tuesday at 3:55 pm at the intersection of the Clara Road and Route 44, in Clara Township.


Timothy M. Wambold, 20, of Shinglehouse was driving a 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier southbound on Route 44. He began to make a right turn onto Clara Road. He failed to maintain control and slid across the Clara Road, impacting a stop sign and a guide rail.

Wambold was moderately injured, but troopers said he was not transported for treatment. He was charged with (not) Driving Vehicle At Safe Speed.

A passenger, Jamie L. Stanton, 18, of Shinglehouse received a minor injury and a one year old infant was not injured.

All occupants were properly restrained by safety belts and car seat. The car was towed by Dave's Body Shop. The case remains open for further investigation.

Troopers were assisted on scene by Shinglehouse Fire Department and Ambulance.
