Wilhelmina “Willie” Jackson, 61, of Galeton, PA

Wilhelmina “Willie” Jackson, 61, of Galeton, PA, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport, PA.

Born July 24, 1948, in Wellsboro, PA, she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Short) Jackson.

Willie worked as a bartender and cook at the Village Inn and the Waldheim for many years. She was a member of the Galeton VFW Ladies Auxiliary #6611.

She enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are a son, Darrell (Erin) Jackson, Galeton; four grandchildren, Jordan Jackson, Jada Jackson, Ryleigh Rachiele, and Amiria Jackson; a brother, William (Phyllis Adams) Jackson, Williamsport, PA; three sisters, Josephine “Joey” Jackson, Galeton, Mary (Jon) Whittington, Williamsport, and Louise (James) McPeak; a nephew, Tony Jackson, Williamsport; and a niece, Lorri Griffen, Galeton.

Friends may call at the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Collins Chapel, Galeton, on Saturday, March 13, 2010 from 10:00 – 11:00 am with a Memorial Service immediately following at 11:00 am. Pastor Richard Hatch will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be to the Galeton Women of the Moose or to the Galeton VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

I was so sad to hear about Willie passing....I can still hear her laugh and I adored her sense of humor.....Our thoughts and prayers are with all of Willie's family and friends...I bet you just have them rolling on the clouds up there in Heaven Willie!!!
