Alice “Beverly” Mashula, 85, of Germania, PA

Alice “Beverly” Mashula, 85, of Germania, PA, died on Friday, April 16, 2010 at Charles Cole Hospital, Coudersport, PA.

Born March 2, 1925, in Carter Camp, PA, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mildred (Schramm) Swan. She was married to Frank Mashula, who predeceased her on May 2, 1996.

Beverly worked at Galeton Production for ten years and then was a homemaker. She was a member of St Germain Catholic Church in Germania, St. Bibiana Catholic Church in Galeton, PA, and the Germania Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She greatly enjoyed working in her flower gardens, crocheting, and was a wonderful cook and baker.

Surviving are two sons, Frank A. Mashula, Germania and Mark (Lori) Mashula, Carter Camp; two daughters, Cherie Mashula, Galeton and Linda (Charles) Brown, Carter Camp; a sister, Mildred Rawson, Coudersport; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, Beverly was predeceased by a son, George Michael Mashula and two brothers, Fred and Walter Swan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bibiana Catholic Church, Galeton, on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 11:00am, with the Rev. Joseph Dougherty as Celebrant.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Bibiana Catholic Church. Arrangements are entrusted to the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Collins Chapel, Galeton.
