Gary Buchsen To Be Honored At Luncheon Today

‘Pa. Wilds’ Results Assessed; Local Businessman Honored

pawildslogoA Potter County businessman is among a select group of “champions” being recognized for their support of the regional Pennsylvania Wilds initiative. Gary Buchsen of Coudersport, owner and operator of the Millstream Inn and other local businesses, will be honored during a luncheon on Thursday (April 29) at Pitt-Bradford.

According to Matt Quesenberry, chairman of the Pennsylvania Wilds Planning Team, Buchsen is among those who have “shown an exemplary commitment to the economic prosperity, environmental vitality and cultural heritage of the region.”

“Gary has been a strong proponent of using the Pennsylvania Wilds Design Guide for Community Character Stewardship as he works to make his facilities more appealing to visitors and locals alike,” Quesenberry noted.

The planning team is also honoring commissioners from Potter and eight other counties for their support of the Pennsylvania Wilds. Thursday’s meeting will include the release of two studies that measure the jobs, tourism dollars and other benefits of the Pennsylvania Wilds. To see a copy of the report, click here.

"Thursday’s meeting will include the release of two studies that measure the jobs, tourism dollars and other benefits of the Pennsylvania Wilds."

The benefits are from the natural gas, not the Pennsylvania Wilds.

BTW: Way to go, Gary!
