Joanne A. Smith, 72, Of 324 W Fourth St., Emporium, PA

Joanne A. Smith, 72, of 324 W Fourth St., Emporium, PA died at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA Friday afternoon. (April 23, 2010)

She was born June 20, 1937 in Crosby, PA a daughter of the late Paul and Ethel Hurd Weidert.
She married Charles Smith, of Emporium who survives.

Mrs. Smith retired from Motor Coil where she worked for many years. Years ago she worked at the Cabin Kitchen as a cook. She was a member of the Abundant Life Tabernacle and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

3 Daughters: Mary Stuckey and her husband Bruce, Emporium, Paula Singer and her husband Mike, Emporium, Penny Carter, Vernville, PA
1 Son: Edward Smith, Bradford
10 Grandchildren & 6 Great Grandchildren

Parents: Paul and Ethel Hurd Weidert
Son: Charles Smith in 1984
Daughter: Jackie Weidert
One Grandson & One Great Grandson
2 Sisters: Pauline Beeson & Fannie Weidert

Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium on Sunday (April 25, 2010) at 3:00 PM with Rev. James Eastman, Pastor, Abundant Life Tabernacle, officiating.

Visitation with Video Tribute will be at the Barnett Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:00 -3:00 PM

Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, PA
