Great job by Emily. Speaking of timely sports if you get NBC on TV tonight for the Flyers vers Black Hawks game you will hear the Chicago fans doing the dildine chant. Two Port Allegany guys named Stayer and Barber got it going out there and had thier pictures in the Chicago Tribune paper in a big ad about it. You can't miss the chant. They really filled the place with dil-dine dil-dine when the Hawks scored their second goal tonight.

Jim,
Thank you so much for this announcement...The parade was a HUGE success. We had the fire and ambulance departments along with the local police and a ton of well-wishers. Emily received a hero's welcome.

She ran a great race. I heard that chant on the game on Channel 2. OMG!

The third guy in that Tribune ad with the Port guys is Coudersport's Bill McCloud. Stanley Cup fame for the D word.

I used to see Emily running through town even when track practice was over and she really went for the gold this year and got it. Kudoses and dildines to her. This is an example that hard work has it's rewards.

I missed the hockey game but a guy named LaRosa who used to live in Coudersport sent a digital picture from the game in Chicago picked up by ESPN and they had a picture of the banner that said McLoud Stayer Barber and Port Allegany Pride with a dildine ensignia. The guy on ESPN said Stayer was once in the NFL. Huh???

We are proud of Emily and she will surely do well at Penn State. She sure did run away on that last lap. As for the Stayer kid and the NFL, he was on the practice squad for the New England Patriots but did not end up making a roster. Three cheers to the terrific trio for their fine work on getting the banner on national TV.

Terrific accomplishment, Emily ! Winning the State Gold Medal in the AA 3200 is a fantastic feat , and it comes a week after you broke 2-time olympian Amy Rudolph's district 9 record !! Incredible performances & successes in your senior year at Coudy ! Congratulations on your superb efforts and training to achieve such amazing results !!!

Just an idea, but what about getting together a dildine banner like they had at the Stanley Cup playoffs for the Penn State track meets when Emily is running? Good for Coudersport pride because right now Port Allegany is taking it away from Coudy as far as the dildine identity.

Good plan 8:43 but will Penn State even allow any banners? Remember what happened in Clarion a few years ago when Coudersport fans had three or four of the dildine banners for the football playoffs against that Pittsburgh team and the PIAA Gestapo stepped in. Also when the Feebig guy in Emporium seized the Falcon dildine banner at the baseball playoff. I am not sure if banners are permitted at college sports events. Who knows?
