H. Daniel Stoneking, 68, of 907 Gingko Grove Mechanicsburg, formerly of 1050 East Main Street,, Bradford, PA

H. Daniel Stoneking, 68, of 907 Gingko Grove Mechanicsburg, formerly of 1050 East Main Street, passed away, Tuesday, May 25th, 2010, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born July 29,1941, in Kane, he was the son of the late Herman D. and Evelyn Pauline (Williamson) Stoneking.

On June 8, 1963 in Smethport he married Virginia L. (Abbey) Stoneking who survives.

Mr. Stoneking was a 1959 graduate of Smethport High School and a 1963 graduate of St. Bonaventure University where he received a bachelor's degree in accounting. He worked as a CPA in Buffalo NY at Phillips-Wertman Public Accounting Company, then in 1965 he worked at Forest Oil Corp. and retired as manager of the tax department. In 1991 he formed Smith, Best & Stoneking Accounting Firm where he retired from in October 2008.

He was a member the Sawyer Evangelical Church, a member of Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants and a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants

In addition to his wife he is survived by two daughters, Debbie (Jeff) Sawyer of Wellsboro, and Kathy (Bill) Lutz of Wyalusing, a son, Richard (Micki) Stoneking of Harrisburg, two sisters, Roma June (Bill) O'Brien of Renton, WA, and Janice Cannon of Galion, OH, eight grandchildren, twin great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.

Family will be receiving friends on Friday, May 28, 2010 from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9PM in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave. and again on Saturday, May 29th from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. at the Sawyer Evangelical Church where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00AM with Rev. Brad Preston pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery.

Memorial contributions if desired may be made to the Vision Account at the Sawyer Evangelical Church for the Building Fund.
