Jan L. McCoy, 48, of Goodyear, AZ, formerly of Mills, PA

Jan L. McCoy, 48, of Goodyear, AZ, formerly of Mills, PA, died Thursday, May 27, 2010.

Born December 29, 1961, in Wellsboro, PA, she was the daughter of Richard Howard and Janet Hewitt McCoy.

She was a 1980 graduate of Northern Potter High School and a 1982 graduate of Alfred Technical School.

Surviving are: her parents of Mills, PA; a brother, Rick McCoy of Radcliff, KY; a sister, Judy (Chuck) Sinnamond of Wharton, PA; one nephew; three nieces; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was predeceased by a brother, Ronald L. McCoy in 1994.

A Memorial Service celebrating Jan’s life will be held 11:00 AM, Sunday, June 6, 2010 in the Mills Union Church, Mills, PA. The Rev. Lowell Watkins will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Lupus Foundation, SPCA, or Teacher’s Pet Rescue, 19 Blackberry Lane, Coudersport, PA 16915.

Arrangements are entrusted to the Olney Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Ulysses, PA.

My heart breaks hearing of Jan's passing. I haven't seen Jan in many years but have only fond memories of fun spirit and rmarkable beauty. I hope her life was all that she wanted and deserved. My prayers go out to her family and those close to her. C. Wilson-Minich, Bradford PA

Jan was such a beautiful person - inside and out! She always had such a positive spirit and a kind word for anyone. She will be truly missed. We all have lost an amazing person. Wods cannot express the sadness I feel for her family and close friends.

Jan was an accepted member of our family for the past 16 years. We were always there for each other. We laughed and cried with her many times. We have lost our good friend. We hope she finally found PEACE.

I just heard about Jan's passing. What a wonderful friend she was. We were friends when she lived in PA. I will greatly miss her and her beautiful smile. I am sorry I did not keep in touch with her very much after she left PA.
