Weekend Police Reports by State Police


State Police, Coudersport


April 27 at 4:30 pm--A hit and run driver traveling east on Yahn Road struck an overhead TV cable wire owned by Blue Ridge Communications and left the scene.

April 24 between 5 am & noon--A known actor was observed on private property near the intersection of Parker Hill Road and Forks Road in Hector Township, owned by the Hector Hunting Club, Ulysses, PA. This Burglary/Criminal Trespass incident continues to be under investigation.

May 4 thru May 6--A known female suspect stole prescription medication from the residence of Edward Balch at 275 Ridge Road, Galeton, PA Anyone with information is asked to contact PSP Coudersport at 814-274-8690. Trooper Kocher is the investigator.

May 6-May 7--Actor(s) drove a vehicle into a mailbox owned by Dale F. Davis, 197 Main Street, Roulette, PA. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact PSP Coudersport at 814-274-8690. Trooper Roger McCloskey in the investigating officer. Last year, Davis was the victim of a hit & run driver who drove through his yard and crashed into his truck, and left the scene.

Oct. 1, 09--Jan. 31, 10--Troopers are investigating the theft of a Colt .45 Revolver (US Army Model 1917) and a 32-20 Caliber lever action rifle from 32 Butter Creek Road, Sharon Township, PA. Owner is Carolyn L. Calkins, 5680 Valdez Trail, Salcha, AK. Anyone with information should contact Trooper Jenary-Patrol Section, at the Coudersport Station.

May 5 @ 10:40 pm--Barry J. Bradley of 620 Vader Hill Road in Eulalia Township reported that Michael F.Gallina, 28, of 186 Atkins Road, Roulette, PA, entered his residence and made threats against him. Summary charges of Criminal Trespass and Harassment will be filed against Gallina at District Court 55-3-01.

State Police--Emporium

May 7 at 11:00 am--Unknown actor(s) cut electric lines which control the railroad crossing at the intersection of Route 555 on 3rd Street in Driftwood Boro. The facility is owned by the Norfolk and Southern Railroad. Anyone with information on this continuing investigation is asked to contact the Emporium State Police at 814-486-3321. Trooper Ronald Chewning is the investigator.

May 7 at 5:12 pm--Richard Lynn Michael, 55, of Moore Hill Road, Emporium, PA, will be charged with DRIVING UNDER INFLUENCE of Alcohol and summary traffic violations as a result of being stopped at a regulatory traffic checkpoint on Route 120 near Sunny Lane in Shippen Township

State Police--Kane

Month of May--Checkpoint Strike Force Initiative. In accordance with Pennsylvania State Police Directives, Troop C will conduct sobriety checkpoints within McKean County on roadways that have a high incidence of alcohol related crashes.

May 7--10:00 to 11:00 PM--Lawrence William Himes, 49, Mount Jewett, PA., was taken into custody at the Kinzua Country Bar in Mount Jewett for a violation of a Protection From Abuse order issued to Diana Jean Gagliardi, 46, of Mount Jewet, PA. Himes was arraigned before Districvt Judge Luther and committed to the McKean County Jail in lieu of $5,000.00 bail.
