Brenda E. France, 44, of 114 W. Main St., Friendship, NY

FRIENDSHIP, NY - Brenda E. France, 44, of 114 W. Main St. died Sunday (June 6, 2010) at home following a lengthy illness.

Born Feb. 11, 1966, in Bradford, PA, she was a daughter of Ken and Marjorie Williams Otto. She was married to Tony R. France, who survives.

Brenda had lived in Rushford most of her life and had attended Otto-Eldred High School in Duke Center, PA. She was an assembler at Robeson Appliance in Castile for a short period of time. After receiving her certified nurse's aid license, she was a CNA at Houghton Nursing Home for several years, then at Cuba Memorial Hospital for approximately three years. Later, she worked at Underwood Manor as a CNA for many years.

Brenda loved doing crafts of all kinds but her most enjoyable task was to do for and love her family.

Surviving besides her husband are her mother, Marjorie Hammaker of Eldred, PA; two sons, Tony C. (Nicole) France of Franklinville and Timothy M. France of Friendship; a daughter, Tasha M. (Timothy) Giles of Friendship; a grandson; two granddaughters; a brother, Louis (Joyce) Hammaker of Eldred; two sisters, Tammy (Joe) Bruesuer of Friendship and Pam Hammaker of Andover; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her stepfather, Louis Hammaker

Friends are invited to attend memorial visitations at the Friendship United Church, 31 E. Main St., on Friday (June 11, 2010) from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at which time a memorial service will be held.

The Rev. Kirk Kirch, pastor, will officiate.

Memorials may be made to the Friendship Rescue Squad.
Arrangements are under direction of the Treusdell Funeral Home, Friendship.
