The Northern Tier Camp Cadet Board of Directors is pleased to announce the graduates of the 2010 NTCC program, which was held June 21 - June 25, 2010 at Mansfield University.

The graduation program took place Friday night at 6:30pm in Straughn Auditorum.

The keynote speaker was Tioga County District Attorney George Wheeler who spoke to the cadets on choices they may make in their future.

Mrs. Robin Freeman was called up on stage by Camp Director Detective Scott Henry and was presented a gift from the Board of Directors for her years of service with the Camp.

Sixty five youths from Potter, Tioga & Cameron Counties participated in the week long camp.

Honored guest at graduation included the Trooper Joseph Welsh family & the family of SSGT Ryan Ostrom. The honored guest presented plaques to the Honor Cadets of this years class.

The Joseph Welsh Memorial male Honor Cadet was Logan McGovern from Tioga County and the Ryan Ostrom female Honor Cadet was Alexis Adams from Potter County. Both Honor Cadets will attend the Pennsylvania State Police Commissioners Honor Camp held in Hershey, PA in August of 2011.

This years Commanders & Staff were members comprised of a large quantity of members of various State, County and Local Criminal Justice agencies from Potter, Tioga & Cameron Counties also from Ohio & Washington DC.

The Northern Tier Camp Cadet program is a non-profit organization. The Board of Directors wishes to thank all of our sponsors and supporters of this years camp as well as Mansfield University that hosts the program.

The next fund raiser will be a Poker Run, Saturday, August 7th at Larry's Sports Center.

I want to thank Det. Henry, Robin Freeman, staff members, and all the other people involved who make this camp a success each year. My son, Troy, had a wonderful time and learned so much. This is a wonderful program and as a parent I would encourage other parents to let your children attend. Thanks again to all of you who make Camp Cadet a huge success.
