Minor Injury
Emporium State Police investigated a one vehicle crash at 10:45 am Wednesday on Route 120, 66 feet west of Route 872 in Grove township, Cameron County.
The crash occurred as William L. Wheaton, 60, of Spokane, WA, was traveling east on Route 120 when he fell asleep at the wheel. His 2010 Chrysler Sebring crossed over the double line, the westbound lane and the north berm, before striking a guide rail end, two road signs, a privately owned fence and a tree.
Wheaton received a very minor injury. His passenger, Gabrielle R. Helberg, 13, of Spokane, WA. was not injured. Both were wearing seat belts.
Troopers charged Wheaton with CARELESS DRIVING.
