Lyle E. Shreve, 86, of 45 Gates Hollow, Bradford, PA

Lyle E. Shreve, 86, of 45 Gates Hollow passed away, Wednesday, June 23rd, 2010 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born December 27, 1923, in Coudersport, he was a son of the late Edwin Z. Fisk and Polly E. Shreve.

On September 4, 1944, in Portville, NY, he married Neva M. (Sikes) Shreve who survives.

Mr. Shreve was a 1941 graduate of Olean High School. On March 16, 1943 he enlisted in the United States Army, and was stationed in Central Europe. He was honorably discharged on February 14, 1946

He had worked as a mechanic at several garages in Bradford, and also at Boviard & Seyfang. For the last 18 years he owned and operated Shreve's Auto Body Supplies in Bradford.

He attended Foursquare Gospel Church and was a member of the Bell's & Beau's Square Dance Group.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons Donald R. Shreve of Morrisville, NC and Dennis L. Shreve of Phoenix, AZ, three sisters, Lucille (James) Boysha of Lakeland. FL, Ruth Gross of Little Genesee, NY, and Phyllis (Theodore) Schweikart of Eldred, two brothers, Monta Bert Fisk of Arkansas, and Theodore (Anne) Fisk of Akron, NY, three grandchildren, two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Ronda Shreve, two brothers: Adrain Allen, Edwin Fisk and one sister Shirley Deibler.

Funeral services will be held at a later date to be announced by the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.

Burial will be in Chestnut Hill Cemetery in Portville, NY.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
