It was donated to Pantene Beautiful Lengths program

http://www.pantene.com/en-us/beautiful-lengths-cause/default.aspx

While there are other worthy causes, Pantene partners with the American Cancer Society by taking the donations, turning them into wigs and then sending them back to the ACS where the ACS distributes them where needed. According to a spokesperson from the local ACS branch, there are already women in the local area that have benefited from this program.

Ray was a willing donor, and this is not the first time that he has donated to similar causes. Peggy Wilkinson, owner of Guy's and Gal's Salon in Coudersport graciously donated her time to come to the relay and cut his hair for the donation. I thank her for this generous donation of time.

There were many pictures taken of the event and they will be forwarded to Jim when they are ready.

I believe this "archive" photo was taken at the Elliotts Lumber sawdust fire about a year ago. His hair was much longer for the donation.
