The Coudersport Rotary Club announced today that it will hold its 2010 Annual Dinner Auction at the Coudersport Legion, located along Route 872 on Saturday, September 18th starting with a 5 pm social hour.

A Classic Chicken Dinner, prepared by the Women’s Auxiliary will be served at 6:00 p.m. with auctioneers Todd Brown and Jeff Gleason beginning the auction at 7:00 p.m. According to Brown, the auction will include a cash bar and live entertainment provided by Todd Anderson Unplugged, an acoustic soloist who plays a combination of modern rock and old & new country.

Tickets for the Dinner Auction are $15.00 each. A couple of the items to be put up for bid include a 30:06 rifle donated by Potter County Outfitters and a dovetail cedar chest and carved clock donated by Sean Batterson.

The Rotary Club expects to open the bidding on over 50 items this year and anticipates nearly 100 people will turn out for the event. “The food and entertainment alone are well worth the ticket price, but the auctioning of items remains our main focus of the event,” according to Karen Cahilly, Rotary President.

Money raised at the September 18th Dinner Auction is allocated to community projects such as the local parks projects and the Coudersport foreign exchange and youth leadership programs.

Those wishing to donate items or attend the September 18th Rotary Dinner Auction should contact Karen at the Coudersport Rotary Club at (814) 203-3933. Information about the auction and a list of donated items will also be made available at within the next week.
