Coudersport – August 16, 2010: Bill Wylie, the Governor of Rotary District 7350, traveled from his home town of Romney, West Virginia this past Monday to present his Rotarian goals for the upcoming year to the local Coudersport Rotary Club and to present the 2010/2011 Rotary International Flag which was accepted on behalf of the club by current club president, Karen Cahilly.

The Coudersport Rotary Club is one of the 45 Rotary Clubs that make up Rotary District 7350; a District with approximately 2,000 Rotarians from parts of Pennsylvania, Maryland and West Virginia. Each newly elected District Governor visits each of the 45 Rotary Clubs throughout the District in order to establish cohesion among all clubs and to gather feedback regarding the needs of their communities and to promote the broader efforts of Rotary International.

During his visit, Bill emphasized the need for the Coudersport Rotary Club to focus on local membership and the implementation of projects that would strengthen and further Rotarian community and humanitarian principles. “Talking alone does not get our projects completed. Our clubs must do what they say they are going to do and what they were created to do,” according to Wylie. “By increasing club membership by 10 people, you gain 20 hands to help complete community projects,” added Wylie.

The Coudersport Rotary Club’s guiding principle is the Four Way Test: “Is it the TRUTH? Is it FAIR to all concerned? Will it BUILD goodwill and better FRIENDSHIPS? Will it be BENEFICIAL to ALL CONCERNED?”
