Fern L. Griffith, 89, of 315 East Fourth St., Emporium died at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital-Extended Care, Coudersport, PA on Tuesday afternoon(August 3, 2010)

She was born April 16, 1921 in Whitesville, New York a daughter of the late Frank and Grace Harris Tucker.

On March 27, 1943 in First Baptist Church, Emporium she married the late Chester Griffith.

Mrs. Griffith retired from the former Sylvania in Emporium where she worked for over 38 years. She was a member Sylvania Quarter C and the First Baptist Church in Emporium.

Sister: Lois Grossman and her husband George, Roulette
Sister: Gladys Howard, Shinglehouse
Several: Nieces and Nephews,

Parents: Frank and Grace Harris Tucker
Husband: Chester Griffith who died June 28, 1957

Visitation will be at the Barnett Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 4 to 7 PM.

Funeral Service will be held at the Barnett Funeral Home, 207 E. Fourth Street, Emporium on Friday, August 6, 2010 at 11:00 AM with Rev. R. Scott Melott, Pastor, First Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in the Newton Cemetery, Emporium, Pennsylvania
