Great use of our tax dollars. I'm sure we are getting to what amounts to a campaign stop for him!!!

Won't be able to attend. Would someone who is going to please tell him to consider STRONG support of bringing back manufacturing and farming to this country. The backbone of this country is just about broken. All the support of education is important also, however all the degrees in the world will not save this county if we don't start making stuff to compete with trade. we are going to hell in a handbasket and the current adminstration is not showing any concern other than lets force people to buy health insurance even though they can't afford food, and let's go after the Amish for not depending on the government, and building a mosque is more important than anything else it seems and appears. Someone ask him to stand up for the people, not the lobbyists! TY

Free in Port Allegany...$25 in Coudersport.

It must be the secret of our vast wealth has gotten out. rats....

News Flash! - Manufacturing will not be making a return visit to the USA, it is by design.

As for "let's go after the Amish for not depending on the government"

Yes, those pesky Amish lets "go after them", they don't rely on the government enough, they're self sufficient, hard working, they support and help each other, we should have none of that and besides what are they keeping under them funny hats......

I used to think I knew what the most inane comment on here was, until you posted, Thank you for
enlighting me further.

In an effort to get more input from Potter County residents, the sponsors of the event have changed it to a donation appreciated but not required to attend the Town Hall reception at Denton Hill Ski Lodge. Everyone, regardless of party affiliation is invited to talk with the Congressman and tell him your concerns. Of course, if you's like to help support his campaign for re-election, that support will be appreciated.

I would re-phrase it:

in an effort to save face and not appear like total arrogant smug unfeeling cronies, come on down no charge, but if you got it, we'll take it.

I guess the natives got a little restless...

I did find it rather disturbing that we had to pay to listen to an official that 'we' elected. Shouldn't surprise me though...

Looks like good ole' GT tried to hide campaign stops / fundraisers behind Town Hall meetings and get us taxpayers to foot the bill. Didn't take him long to learn how to be corrupt in Washington. I say vote him out - Vote for Pope.

unfortunately some did not read the comment closely or it needs to be clarified. sarcasm doesn't show in type. I was not suggesting they should. The gov't administration appears they are more interested in going after people who they should not be going after. there is a news story released on European news that reports that the current admin is attempting to strong arm and interfere with the Amish culture, because we all know what a threat they are to the US--oh please (now that was meant to be sarcastic). I don't think this was on any major news outlet here, I haven't been able to find the story here yet. They should instead look at the important things, not them. Apparently they are not dependent enough on the gov't it seems. The gov't appears to be following lobby special interest instead. I was not suggesting what you wrote at all, in fact quite the opposite. And while it is highly unlikely that we will ever have a strong trade base in this country again-it is needed though. Just because it's unlikely doesn't make the need for it untrue. China owns us and that needs to change. Simply because some don't like or agree what was typed, doesn't mean it's all wrong. It would be nice if job creation could be a reality instead of a political spin story for the evening news. I'm not pro this administration at all and if you are-then that's your right.
