Grace Button, 83, of Galeton, PA, formerly of Addison, NY

Grace Button, 83, of Galeton, PA, formerly of Addison, NY, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at home.

Born December 20, 1926, in Ulysses, PA, she was the daughter of the late Glenn and Bessie Mae (Dailey) Carlin. On September 6, 1947, in Nunda, NY, she married Edward A. Button, Sr., who preceded her in death.

Grace was a homemaker who was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Galeton. She had been an active member of the Corning Assembly of God Church for 37 years. She also greatly enjoyed quilting, cooking, fishing, reading, painting, gardening and playing the piano.

Surviving are a son, Edward A. (Priscilla) Button, Jr., Galeton, PA; four daughters, Marilyn (Randall) Sutton, Dover, PA, Sharon (Raymond) Hall, The Villages, FL, Rhonda Oyler, Painted Post, NY, and Robin Corby, Corning, NY; 14 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; three sisters, Sally Kludt, Faith Piraino, and Bessie Dougherty; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Grace was predeceased by a great granddaughter, Adriona Button; three brothers; and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Hess Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Collins Chapel, Galeton, on Monday, September 27, 2010 from 6:00 to 8:00pm and on Tuesday, September 28, 2010 at the Pine Creek Valley United Methodist Church, Gaines, from 10:00 to 11:00am with Funeral Services following at 11:00am. The Rev. David Brelo will officiate. Interment will be made in the Button Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Assembly of God Church in Galeton.
