If this is such a concern then wouldn't our DEP(in wich tells us where we can build on our on land) be concerned!! I also have this to say we do need this econemy in our area, and we need to be more efficent from forign countries. But this can be an natural occurance just like Lake Superior Just 3 years ago never froze in the middle of winter and the earth does move alot and we do have a natural fault for the east coast that is due for a major quake (witch) has been moving in the last year alot. So don't jump to blame the drilling that is going on!!! What do all you really want??? Rely on forign companies, jobs, Or Just
Something to complain about in the GOOOD OLD USA......and I'm a very Saftey Concise Person. I love my natural enviroment, I love being in a free country, but it's time to stand up and say what do we as people really want???? Nature, Jobs, Freedom, or do you all just want to see a quick $$$$ and start to sue!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm sure I will get alot of here and there's on the whole thing. BUT WHAT DO YOU ALL WANT???? and if you would have paid more attention to your enviroment sooner you wouldn't be doing this. And to end it all!!! I really think that yes we do need to pay attention to the drilling but we also need to pay attention to the other things that have been going on way before this natural and MAN MADE!!!

Amazing, like the engineer said in the news clip, "cause & effect". It annoys me that the gas company & state expect me to believe that this would happen even if the drillers weren't there. Do they really think I'm that naive? Just like all the wells that are now bad where drilling went on. People who support this should have their head examined. It's not done safely. The explosions, Tap water coming out of a faucet, lighting up like a torch? Now there's gas bubbles in the river. Theres nothing but destruction coming out of this. That'll cost us more in the long run. It's not worth it. I pray that I never see them drilling in my neck of the woods.

I fully support use of foreign gas and oil and destroying their environment instead of ours.

If any of you think that getting the gas and oil from American soil will lower the prices, you are fools.

The consumer price will be the same for the gas and oil extracted on American soil, but we'll also have to pay for the environmental damage done. All so some already wealthy business men can get more wealthy at the cost of our lifestyles and maybe our lives.

Saturday, September 4, 2010 9:53:00 AM EDT- Makes a really good point. -- Globalization is not as bad as everyone makes it out to be.

I am unsure how I feel about all this but I do not think we did our research before hand and I am very nervous to see how it will result in the long-term.

lovely, by next year on the opening of fishing season, you can instantly cook your fish as it comes out of the water. Of course, this assumes there will be fish left to catch.

Okay, tell me again how this methane is hurting the environment? A herd of cows releases more methane than those bubbles I see in this video.
