Former Pitt-Bradford President Endorses Education Consortium Course Offerings

Dr. Richard McDowell, Past President of Pitt-Bradford University in Bradford, speaks about his convictions that community colleges can help students to gain an education without the high costs of tuition and travel or campus housing expenses.

He says that community college courses give students a chance to try their hand at college courses to see if they can succeed and move on to regular colleges and universities.

He said that community colleges feed students to colleges like Pitt-Bradford and and are not competition to the college.

Dr. McDowell is a big booster for the Education Consortium of the Upper Allegheny and the BC3 program being initiated in the 11 county area.

In the video above, shot at the Potter County Educational Council last week by Solomon's words for the wise, Dr McDowell expresses his endorsement of the ECUA program in co-operation with Butler County Community College.
