Man & 3 Juveniles Safely Escape Fire In Knoxville Home Late Monday Night

A multiple alarm structure fire at 111 Alba Street in the Borough of Knoxville in Tioga County on Monday night at 11:36 pm was investigated by the Pennsylvania State Police Fire Marshal Unit and Knoxville Fire Department Fire Chief.

It was found that the fire at the home of Frank J. Northrup, 39, originated inside the house near a first floor bathroom. Northrup and three juveniles, 11, 9, and 5 year olds, were inside the residence at the time of the fire. All escaped without injury.

Fire Marshall David A. Surra estimated damages at $50,000. He said the investigation is ongoing.

Fire companies from Tioga, Potter, and Steuben Counties were activated for this structure fire.
