Looked like a school bus turned right on red into a durango, but no one was hurt

I just wanted to let everyone know that yes, nobody was hurt in this accident. Unfortunately, this is the only correct statment made in the previous post. The bus turned left on green and proceeded up East 2nd Street, when the driver of the Black Durango, failed to use a turn signal, failed to check their mirror, and from the view of the bus driver, looked as if they also failed to put down the cell phone. The driver pulled right out in front of the bus, the bus driver hit the brakes and laid on the horn, but the driver of the durango failed to stop and ran into the front right tire of the bus. We bus drivers take the roads everyday to take your kids safely to school. We deal with drivers everyday that fail to drive in a safe manner. People always hurrying to work because of the incovenience of leaving 5 or 10 minutes earlier. We constantly have people ignore the law to STOP when the red lights and stop sign are out. People always passing in no passing zones, running through stops signs because they might get stuck behind that bus for the next block when they turn. "Then call the police" you might say, the sad thing about this is that no matter how many times we report these problems to police, nothing gets done. It is very sad and very true, but I believe nothing will ever get done until some innocent child is hit and killed because of drivers not following driving laws. Next time you think it is necessary to cut of a bus to save yourself 25 seconds in your trip to work, think to yourself, "Would I cut this bus off if I knew my child was on it?" I think I'm safe to say that you wouldn't. I care about the children on my bus. They feel like they're all part of my family and it's my responsibilty to get them to school and home safely.
