“beloved mother, grandmother & sister”

SHINGLEHOUSE, PA---Edra L. Umbaugh, 60, of Shinglehouse, died unexpectedly Saturday, November 20, 2010 in her home.

Born at home August 8, 1950 in Shinglehouse, she was a daughter of Edd and Rocelia E. Lawton Cutler.

Edra attended Oswayo Valley High School in Shinglehouse.

She was a former member of Tioga County Early Days Association in Mansfield. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and crafts of any kind. Her greatest love was her family, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed doing face painting of her grandchildren and their friends.

Surviving are four children, JaJeanna B. (LaVerne) White of Cuba, NY, Jarose M. (Doug) Bolt of Millerton, Jamie L. (Rod) Mesler of Shinglehouse and James L. Umbaugh of Shinglehouse; ten grandchildren; four brothers, Newton F. (Theresa) Cutler of Port Allegany, Donald E. Cutler of Rochester, NY, David E. Cutler of Allentown, NY and Joel E. Cutler of Shinglehouse; three sisters, Bess O. (John) Cooper of Apple Valley, California, Helen E. Cutler of Olean, NY, and Nellie I. (Gordon) Stone of Bradford; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

In addition to her parents, Edra was predeceased by a brother, Edd W. Cutler, Jr. and a sister, Nancy R. Cutler.

Friends may call at the Virgil L. Howard Funeral Home, 118 South Union Street, Shinglehouse on Tuesday, November 23, 2010 from 10 a.m. to noon at which time funeral services will be held. The Rev. Russell J. Horning, pastor of the First Baptist Church, Shinglehouse, will officiate.

Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the Shinglehouse Volunteer Ambulance Association, PO Box 98, Shinglehouse, PA 16748.

She was a wonderful person, I went to school with her for a few yrs! My prayers go out to her family. I'm very saddened of her loss!

I will greatly miss her. She was always a sweet lady. She was the best grandma and I will never forget her pretty curly hair.
