Haggie Expected To Get 2 Life Terms Without Parole

Haggie Pleads Guilty

Thomas Haggie has pleaded guilty to killing Megan Konopka and her unborn baby in September of 2009, and is expected to be sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison without the possibility of parole.

He entered the plea this afternoon in McKean County Court.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 13.

District Attorney Ray Learn had said he was going to seek the death penalty for Haggie and Greggory Theobald, Haggie's co-defendant. When the men agreed to plead guilty, Learn took the death penalty off the table.

Theobald pleaded guilty in July and is serving his time at the State Correctional Institution at Fayette.

I hope god is watching over them, because if big bubba finds out what they did once they are in jail, they are going to be wishing that they took the death penalty!! I hope you rot for what you did to, two innocent people, you are peices of garbage that do not deserve the privilage of seeing daylight!!!

Man purposes in his heart to exact justice upon the evil-hearted in his own means. While this seems socially perfect in logic, man often times forgets this overlooked promise: "Revenge is mine, thus saith the Lord."

Yes this social delinquent may finally be where he deserves to be, in prison without parole, but when he finally dies, God will judge him far better and punish him far worse than we upon this earth ever will.

I will say this: I am saddened that my tax dollars will go to housing, clothing, feeding and rehabilitating him and killers like him. And I struggle day to day to provide HONESTLY and LOVINGLY for my wife and 3 children. SAD. Thanks a lot Lady Justice.
