Ice Rink Gets Filled By Dept. 48

Coudersport Fire Chief Andy Dubots (in front of tanker) Ron Angood and Holden Ottolini watch as water fills the ice skating rink Holden had said he wanted to build to give local kids a place to go and have fun. While filling the rink, Holden got word that Mosch's Tavern wanted to donate $100.00 so he jumped in a car with Ron Angood and headed to Mosch's.

FYI, that is an Engine not a tanker, and that is Chief 48-10 (Andy Dubots). Not trying to be an ass or a nit picker, just trying to set the record straight...

poster 8:52, instead of using your time to try and stir up trouble maybe you should take a few courses in spelling and grammar. What the heck is inc?
When I was a kid we just skated and had fun, no one worried about who to sue if we got hurt! Great job Holden and all who are helping and donating. The kids need something besides walking the streets and causing trouble.

The boro will pay for it, like they do everything else. Tax payers really dont know or care where there money goes.....

8:52 first off why do you feel the need to take something a youth in your community is doing for the kids and turn it into a fight! I commend this youth for coming up with a great idea and seeing it through. I'm sure it will bring a lot of joy to many children and families in Coudersport. Also if you are going to grip and complain on a public forum you might want to try spelling check! I hope this community enjoys there ice rink!

Congrats Holden. As for all the comments about Children falling on it and So forth and who is going to pay if that happens.. Your children could fall slipping on some ice in the school parking lot, Or Crossing the street, walking from a parked car to McDonalds, they could even fall slipping on a wet floor in the coudersport hospital. If people want to use this rink they should understand there is always a chance of falling. You could trip over your own feet getting out of bed. You put yourself at risk everyday doing just simple things, How does an ice Skating rink change anything. Holden is just trying to give the children in our towns something to do besides trade drugs on the a corner or behind a store or smoke it up or whatever kids do now in a house when the parents arn't home. Something to do besides stay inside and play Video games. End of story.

8:52 typical non spelling redneck that wants to kill everyones dreams before they even start. If you don`t have anything good to say then shut up!! put your name on your work so we can see how stupid you really are...

Your post is just unbelievable!

When we were young and lived in Galeton, we used to walk to the community building with our roller skates slung over our shoulder so we could skate for a few hours every Saturday night.

In the winter time we did the same and used to walk to the lake to ice skate.

Our parents never ever were worried over who they could "sue" if we broke a "lag", your word not mine!

Please you and your children stay away from the new ice rink, you sound like you are just looking for trouble! What a way to put a damper on something good for your community!

Holden ignore these neigh sayers like horses say neigh, which remind's me of a part of a horses anatamy but i will not say it and it starts with an A. Everytime something positive is on here a couple people jump on and try to find the negative things. I agree on kudoses and dildines to you and the Corner Store and Moschs and the CVFD and others behind this. Way to go!

Holden. You have done a great job gettting the ice skating rink to help kids . They need to be outdoors enjoying the ice. Don't let the trouble maker discourage you. Question to the trouble maker?? If someone would have fallen on this piece of property before the ice skating rink and broke their leg who would have paid for it????? I am sure Coudy is like other boros townships etc They have a package deal and they just have to add it to their policy without an increase in money. Maybe you should check into things before you run your mouth.

Port Allegany usually has an ice skating rink on the square. The kids have alot of fun there and keeps them out of trouble. Mr complainer I feel sorry for your kids.I am very glad to see that there is still youth out there that have ambision to do something for other people.

8:52, How is it that you can't spell wondering, leg, insurance or went. Not to mention your lack of proper punctuation, however, you are able to spell welfare? As for the young man who brought this to the community, way to go! I am proud to see that their are young people like you, out there, sharing ideas, and wanting to make a small town enjoyable for other children.

Congrat on the skating rink, it is refreshing to see a young person take on a project for the benifit of the community. Also is nice to see the Fire Dept Volunteers do what they do best. HELP THE COMMUNITY.

Good job all, enjoy

Merry Christmas

you know what's cheaper than insurance?

a sign that says "Skate at your own risk"

Anonymous said...

there should be some kind of insurance? on this(sorry) if are school wanted it for are track there should be insurance on this
that is how i feel not takeing a kid dream away but we all have to pay for some kind of insurance

Well maybe if you don't have insurance and are happy to blame someone you should not go. Maybe you should not ski, play baseball, basketball, run, ride a bike, play tennis, walk. Come on now, actually maybe you should continue to sit on your rear in your bubble with your bonbons and blame the bonbon company for your behind growing.

Great Work Holden
