PITT-BRADFORD FINANCIAL AID TO OFFER INFORMATION NIGHTS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS, PARENTS
BRADFORD, Pa. – The Office of Financial Aid at the University of Pittsburgh at Bradford will offer free financial aid nights at area high schools in January.
The nights are primarily for juniors and seniors in high school and their parents and will go over the financial aid process.
Representatives will be at the following schools: Otto-Eldred Junior/Senior High School, 6 p.m., Jan. 6; Smethport Junior/Senior High School, 6:30 p.m. Jan. 12; Oswayo Valley High School, 6 p.m., Jan. 12; Bradford Area High School, 6:30 p.m. Jan. 12; Sheffield High School, 6:30 p.m. Jan. 13; Allegany/Limestone (N.Y.) High School, 6:30 p.m., Jan. 18; and Cameron County High School, 6 p.m., Jan. 19.
Pitt-Bradford will also hold FAFSA completion events, to help students and parents complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid. The workshops are free and open to the public.
The first FAFSA completion workshop will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Feb. 9 in Room 158 of the Sport and Fitness Center on the Pitt-Bradford campus. No appointment is necessary.
The second workshop will be held by appointment only from 6 to 8 p.m. Feb. 10 at the Warren County Career Center. For an appointment, call John Bonavita at (814)726-1260.
Those attending should bring a 2010 federal tax return, w2 and schedules, if available, to allow actual submission of correct data. Participants should also bring Social Security numbers, birthdates, asset information for both parents and students, and a driver’s license number for the student.
