Port Allegany Woman Died In Friday Crash On Rt. 155

A Port Allegany woman was killed Friday when her 2004 Pontiac Montana went off Rt. 155 and struck a pole across from the VFW/Legion Home, south of Port Allegany, in Liberty Township.

Megan M. Crum-Orloski, 22, of Port Allegany, PA, died at the scene.

Passengers Jenny L. Studley, 30, and her 10 year old son, of Port Allegany, PA, were transported to Bradford Regional Medical Center by Port Allegany and Roulette Ambulances with unknown injuries.

Troopers said Crum-Orlowski was driving north on Rt. 155 at 5:20 pm, when her van went out of control and exited the East side of the roadway with the van facing South East. The van then continued off the roadway and impacted a fence post with the driver's side front fender, continued North East, where it impacted a utility pole, farther back on the driver's side front fender. After impact with the utility pole, the van rotated clockwise, coming to final rest on the East side of the roadway.

Troopers reported Crum-Orlowski was not wearing a seat belt, but her passengers were properly restrained.

The pole was reported to be broken in 3 places and responders reported heavy damage to the van.

Friends said Megan had taken her friend to Keating Summit to pick up her son, and was returning when she swerved to miss a deer and lost control of her van.

Megan and her husband Eddie Orlowski were married in August of 2010. Megan's obituary is posted in a previous post on Solomon's words.

Friends of the family are attempting to set up a fund to assist with Megan's funeral expenses. Information on that will be forthcoming according to friends of the family. In the interim, donations can be made directly to Hartle-Tarbox Funeral Home.

Port Allegany Fire Rescue and Ambulances from Port Allegany and Roulette responded to the scene. Route 155 was closed at the accident scene and all traffic was rerouted for a period of time Friday evening.

We are the familys friend trying to set up something to assist Eddie with Megans expenses. Everything is hectic right now as you can understand. If you would like to make a donation you can so in person at Megans services which are posted below or to the funeral home, or send us an email to unverdorben@zitomedia.net and we will give you Eddie's address to mail it, and if you dont want to do that, there is going to be a bank account set up at First National in Port Allegany, but that is pending because of the weekend and everything going on right now. Thank you all for your kindness and sympathy, thoughts and prayers during this tragic and difficult time. Ron and Corina

I'll be stopping by Monday to open a post office box for Eddie to recieve any donations that way their address is kept private. My email is jdake76@gmail.com For any further ideas or maybe all of the different avenue's can come together to get something working out. It seems we have quite a few different routes scattered to show love & support. :)
