Beatrice Z. Mattson, 59, of E. Valley Rd., Smethport, PA

CORYVILLE, PA - Beatrice Z. Mattson, 59, of E. Valley Rd., Smethport, died Tuesday (Jan. 11, 2011) in Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born Aug. 6, 1951, in Bradford, she was a daughter of William and Lillian Wood Middlebrough and was raised by George and Bertha Peterson. She was a 1970 graduate of Smethport High School and later became a certified nurse's aide.

Ms. Mattson resided in Warren, Jamestown, N.Y., Corry and Port Allegany before moving back to Coryville.

She worked as a nurse's aide for Sena-Kean Manor for several years and later worked in management for several fast food chains and restaurants in the area. She was a member of the First Church of God in Eldred as well as the Eldred Post 887 and Celeron (N.Y.) Post 0777 American Legion auxiliaries.

She loved doing wood crafts as well as flower arranging and crocheting. She also enjoyed riding motorcycles with her fiancé, Donald Bickford, who survives.

She is survived by her mother, Lillian McEwen, of Sena-Kean Manor; a daughter, Tina Dilley (Wayne) Baker of Bradford; three grandchildren, James and Dustin Bolyard and Zena Dilley; a great-grandson Jayden Bolyard; two brothers, George (Anita) Peterson of Canonsburg and Donald "Whitey" Peterson of Stockdale, Texas; six half sisters; three half brothers; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday (Jan. 14, 2011) at the First Church of God in Eldred. Pastor James Kazimer will officiate.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.

She also Lived In Tuscon Arizona and was also in the food industry for many yrs as a manger for Burger King , Perkins etc.. and has a full Brother Randy In Pittsburgh Pa
