Genesee Township Opens New Cemetery Hill Bridge

Sue Williams, Township Secretary, Suzan Paisley, Representative Causers Office, & Doug Morley, County Commissioner joined the the Bridge Crew : Tim Elliott, Roadmaster~Bradley Empson~Supervisor Bill Elliott~Supervisor Dick Cornell~Sean Thompson~Larry Reiman & Brian Shafer for the ribbon cutting ceremony of the Cemetery Hill Bridge in Genesee Township on Wed. January 12, 2011.

The Cemetery Hill Bridge was washed out due to major flooding, Genesee residents should be proud of their road crew, who took it upon themselves to rebuild the bridge, with some available funding from Penn Dot. In a attempt to save money, they also built a second bridge at the same time. Randy Albert from Penn Dot stated after inspecting the bridge that it couldn't have been done better by any one else, he was very impressed with the workmanship.

Bill Elliott expressed his appreciation to the Potter County Commissioners & Marty Causers office for their continued support of the projects that are funded through the TIP , and Dirt and Gravel Programs. He stated without this money small municipalities would be unable to maintain their roads and bridges.

He also thanked the residents for their patience, along with Amy Kessler, North Central Regional Planning, Randy Albert, Darrin Stover, Vicki Rusniak, from Penn Dot, Jack Fleckenstein, Potter County Conservation District, Quentin Rissler, Larsen Design, Nelson Martin, Terre Hill, and Charlotte Dietrich, Potter County Planning.
