Troopers Need Your Help To Solve Camp Burglaries

State Police at Kane are asking the public's help in solving a rash of camp burglaries on the Wilcox Road south of Clermont in Sergeant Township in the last week or so.

Seven camps have been reported broken into by breaking doors to gain access. Items taken include tools, knives, ammo, DVD's, CD's, and jewelry. The items stolen are valued in thousands of dollars.

State Police in Emporium and Ridgway are investigating similar burglaries in their counties as well. You can help by reporting any suspicious activity at area camps to your local PSP Station, along with descriptions of vehicles involved. Russ Risinger, Indiana, PA
Scott Knarr, Emporium, PA
Brant Linza, New Kensington, PA
Tom Alerich, Cheswick, PA
Barbara Cleer, Kane, PA
Paul Rebovich, Homer City, PA

In Potter County, burglar(s) broke into a cabin (trailer) and shed located at 830 Railroad Avenue in Roulette Township between 12/31 and 1/2 owned by Dan Vandrew, Altoona, PA. It was unknown what was taken there.
