I think we should re study the office of emergency management. I don't see what they do

Why the new position? Isn't this a heck of a time to create another position. Seems that these commissioners have created numerous new positions in this last four years of a recession.

This is the time for new jobs to be created. Lots of people still need jobs. The job is also paid for by a grant, which means you have already paid for it out of your taxes. Also, please be aware that as communitys struggle economically they will struggle behavorially. that means more jobs in social work and corrections are needed to maintain order and human decency. I fear I'll be slammed for being a socialist, but I prefer the word compassionate.

8:43....when the tones go off to any of the ambulance halls or fire halls, the signal passes through 10 different towers in the county. These towers are filled with millions of dollars worth of equipment...so yes, lets just re-study them, its not like we need em!?!

9:39. You showed your colors. A real Liberal living here.

not all social workers are liberal by any means, and not all are socialists either. while you can have compassion for some situations; some are just brought on by entitlement behavior that requires re-framing to encourage at least an attempt at self sufficiency. the disability programs are laughable. the system encourages people to become entitled and dependent while letting those who need a helping hand slide down that slippery slope. comapassionate liberal socialism is the last thing this country needs.just sayin.
