Linda J. Weaver Rankin, 65, of 93 State Street, Bradford, PA

Linda J. Weaver Rankin, 65, of 93 State Street, Bradford, passed away Friday, February 11th, 2011 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born February 26, 1945, in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Otto and Velma (Cook) Weaver.

On May 7, 1965 in Bradford she married Philip G. Rankin who survives.

Mrs. Rankin attended Otto Eldred Schools and graduated in 1963 from Bradford High School. She enlisted in the United States Army on February 21, 1964, serving during the Vietnam War and was honorably discharged on March 1, 1965.

She had been employed locally at Bradford Meat and Provisions and later as a sales associate in the womens retail clothing industry working in several states along the east coast.

Surviving in addition to her husband are three sons: David (Beth) Rankin of Greer, SC, Matthew (Christina) Rankin of Syracuse, NY, and John E. Rankin of Torrington, CT, three grandchildren: Trevor Rankin, Shane Rankin and Nicole Yanock and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Jane Loop and Jean Beck and one brother Rick Weaver.

Family will be receiving friends on Sunday, February 13, 2011, from 1:00 to 4:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. South Ave. where funeral and committal services will be held at 4:00pm with Rev. J. Gallina, pastor of St. Bernard Church officiating. Committal services and burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery on Monday at 10:00am.
