Philip Kio, Jr., 66, of Huntington, TX

Memorial services for Philip Kio, Jr., 66, of Huntington, TX, will be held at 1:00 pm Saturday, February 26, 2011 in Mt. Zion Baptist Church off FM 842 with Brother Keith Wolf officiating.

He was born January 2, 1945 in Coudersport, PA to Doris and Philip Kio and died February 21, 2011 at his residence.

Mr. Kio owned and operated Phil\'d5s Gun Repair Shop in Huntington for the last 15 years. He loved guns, hunting, fishing, and being around horses. He was a veteran of the US Air Force and was of the Catholic Faith.

He is survived by daughters, Denise Kio of Marshall and Wendy Allen of Dallas; grandchildren, Trey Patterson, Brittany Patterson, Abby and husband Wes Stevens, Jaci and husband Ben Watson, Trey Atkinson, and Brett Taliaferro; 5 great grandchildren; father and step-mother, Philip and Leah Kio of Port Allegany, PA; mother, Doris Kio of Roulette, PA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Carlene Kio of Roulette, PA, Cork and Hope Kio of Port Allegany, PA, and Denny and Lou Kio of Lufkin; a number of aunts and uncles and other relatives and a host of friends. Also a very special friend, Amy Schultz.

Mr. Kio was preceded in death by his grandparents, Byron and Etha Kio.

Honorary pallbearers will be Willie Thomas, Brent Hodges, Donald Pleasant, Michael Lightfoot, Mike English, Jim Saxton, Mike Kio, and Todd Kio.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Hospice in the Pines, 116 South Raguet Street, Lufkin, TX 75904 or to a Benefit Account in Philip Kio\'d5s name at any Huntington State Bank location. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of the Snead Linton Funeral Home. Snead Linton Funeral Home; directors.
