Harold G. "Eppy" Lias, 78, of 138 Mason St., Westfield, PA

Harold G. "Eppy" Lias, 78, of 138 Mason St., Westfield, PA, passed away March 22, 2011 at Hamot Medical Center, Erie, PA.

He was born May 15, 1932 in Rural Valley, PA, the son of Ethber and Helen Lauster Lias.

He retired from Consolidated Gas Transmission Corp. after 35 years of service, was a Korean War veteran, member of the Westfield United Methodist Church, American Legion and VFW, was a softball umpire and basketball referee and was inducted into the Tioga Co. Sports Hall of Fame in 1993, CV Basketball League Hall of Fame in 1985.

He loved Bluegrass music and traveling to Bluegrass festivals in his motor home and was an avid sportsman.

He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Mary Carol and Thomas Enfinger, Atlanta, GA; brothers, Ronald (Pat) Lias, Westfield, PA, Earl (Carol) Lias, South Carver, MA; sister, Marlene Wheaton, Erin, NY; special companion, "Pompey"; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edith, August 10, 2009.

Friends are invited to call at the Kenyon Funeral Home, 222 W. Main St., Westfield, PA, Saturday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where funeral services will be held Sunday at 2:00 p.m., Ed Heyler officiating. Burial will be in Champlin Cemetery, Westfield, PA.

Memorial donations may be made to the ASPCA, Wellsboro, PA 16901 or the American Heart Assn., 625 West Ridge Pike, Conshohocken, PA 19428.
