William A. “Bill” Werstler, 84, of Austin, PA

William A. “Bill” Werstler, 84, of Austin, PA died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport, PA.

Born on August 25, 1926 in Hartville, OH he was the son of Lawrence and Lucinda Royer Werstler.

Mr. Werstler had been employed as a stonecutter and heavy equipment operator with Levin Stone Co. in Ash Fork, Arizona for 50 years. He was a veteran of World War II having served with the U. S. Army. Bill enjoyed traveling, especially to Alaska.

Surviving are two brothers, Larry Werstler of Austin and Ben Werstler of Bay Minette, Alabama, two sisters, Marguerite Claus and Joan Hill, both of Green Cove Springs, FL, and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack Werstler and Jim Werstler, and two sisters, Lois Rossman and Maxine Crawford.

At Mr. Werstler’s request there will be no visitation or formal services.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
