The article lacked one major thing....facts.

Just because an environmental group says drilling causes health risks, everyone is to believe them?

The title of this article is highly misleading and somewhat inflammatory. Then again, the proclivity of this group to mislead facts and push their agenda never seems to end.

Only the beginning of the truth leaking out to the public.

Hehehe, "Leaking out to the public."

What truth?
Where are the facts?

This is why we always screwed in this country.

Each side drinks the kool aid they prefer and both sides lie through their teeth.

The truth! Good luck. Truth is nothing more than collateral damage.

"PennEnvironment, a statewide organization", So what. Who are they, what are their qualifications and experience? How long have they been around and what else have they been involved in? I just started a new organization, its called PennEnvironment, Economic Development, Growth and Commonsense.( PEDGC).
PEDGC said that the well drilling industry has a track record of providing jobs to thousands of workers, business to local and state communities, growth opportunities to local districts, and overall professionalism.
PEDGC also found that well drilling industries promote a safe and productive environment, striving to follow and obey state and federal regulations , to learn from previous accidents and develope, improve and implement new procedures and safeguards to prevent future accidents.
PEDGC also states that they are hopeful that local policy and regulations will be set according to this information.
Also, to be fair, PennEnvironment should also take into consideration any and all potentially hazardous facilities such as Nuclear power plants, liquid gas storage and manufacture facilities, hydro-electric dams, construction sites, industrial development and manufacturing sites, gas stations with underground storage tanks, land fills, airports, refineries, rifle ranges, coal mines, and sewage treatment facilities , bars and other potentially dangerous neighbors.,(to mention a few).
And the "traffic violations involving tanker trucks servicing wells"?. It doesnt matter what a truck is hauling or who they are working for. What about a tanker truck hauling gas to your local gas station, or a cement truck hauling to your neighbors sidewalk, or a fire truck hauling water, they all have accidents.
Its sad how people can be influenced, manipulated, and mislead by a title and a simple article.

you know I know a kid that's a rough neck in the gas world and he say's they do have safety meetings everyday but they work as fast as they can to get the job done so no one comes in and looks around...

"kid"??? rough neck, gas world"?
where does this guy stand?? lol.
Let me translate; "they do have safety meetings EVERY DAY, and they work as fast and as hard as they can every day to keep-up with demand to be productive and produce. And they dont and cant wait and hold-up production for the regulators to mosey around to assess the site and give their opinion and write-up violations to justify their jobs. "No one comes around and looks around"????? What the Heck does that mean??? DEP slacking? Avoiding?? Ha HA ha ha...........

look at the companies that own the drilling companies. how many are really from the US? how much of this gas do you think is going to stay here and benefit PA? i'll tell you it's screw PA.

The average Pennsylvania citizen that lives in the Marcellus play area would like to see them leave. The only ones who want them here are politicians bar/resturant owners, hotel motel owners and lease signers. The average person only stands to lose from them being here. I don`t see the jobs they promised. i see a lot of out of state workers.
