Sally Ann Uhl, 50, of 28 Lawton Road, Bradford, PA

Sally Ann Uhl, 50, of 28 Lawton Road, passed away Thursday, May 26th, 2011, at the Bradford Regional Medical Center in the company of her loving husband, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born December 17, 1960 in Bradford, she was a daughter of the late Burton A. and Judy G. (Ogurchak) Taft.

On April 21, 1984 in the Asbury United Methodist Church, before Rev. James DuBois she married Robert Uhl who survives.

Mrs. Uhl was a 1978 graduate of Bradford Area High School. She had been employed at Zippo Mfg. for over 25 years. She was a fantastic cook and enjoyed sharing and exchanging recipes. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steeler's Fan, Pirates Fan and Penguins Fan, and was an accomplished fisherwoman and enjoyed fishing trips to Canada. She enjoyed camping and concerting.

In addition to her husband she is survived by a son, Anthony L. Uhl of Bradford, two sisters, Debbie Taft of Mt Jewett; Connie Wilber of Bradford, a sister in law, Cindy Patrick of Bradford, one aunt, Sally McKinney of Bradford, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister Joann M. Dressler.

Family will be receiving friends on Tuesday, May 31, 2011, from 3 to 5 & 7 to 9pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main St., where funeral and committal services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, June 1st, with Rev. Max Miller, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish officiating.
