Ann The Scammer Joins Up With Rachel The Scammer

Rachel the scammer, who rings your phone and wants to lower your credit card rates even if you don't have any, has a new associate. Her name is Ann and she spouts the same scam as Rachel, so if you don't know already, it's as scam. Just hang up.

So I should avoid Ann and Rachel? So it will be ok to deal with "Lisa", "Karen" or "Stacy"? NO - regardless of the name, you should NEVER deal with anyone who calls to solicit deals, no matter how good it sounds.

Only deal with trusted companies YOU CALL... because the scammers can even CLAIM to be from your own bank or service you deal with. If this happens, tell them you will call them back at a better time and call their official number even if they give you a different callback number.

My grandmother has recieved 2 calls stating she owes the IRS $17,ooo.oo. they wanted her to send them half of the payment and I ask them to give me the number they were calling from and they hung up on me both times.I knew it was a scam, my gramma is 92 and NO way does she owe the IRS!! I did report it to the State police.

If you have an air horn handy, a nice trick is to talk real quietly to them which will make them strain to hear you. Then blow the horn into the phone. It won't stop them from calling you but it will give you some satisfaction that you ruined their day

Ok, I need an airhorn....that is perfect post 10:58.

I can't believe this scam is still going and they haven't been arrested yet. They have probably called every number in country by now. I think they called my house 4 or 5 times. If you have nothing else to do get a real person on the phone and stall them. It costs them money and time.

I just say I would love to talk with them, could they please hold on for one minute. I then mute my phone so they can't hear me, and I throw the phone on my couch and walk away. After a few minutes you can hear them saying "hello?" "hello?" "hello?" and then they hang up. Works every time. They don't call back.
