The Westboro Baptist Church plans on protesting at the funeral. If you are available to help protect and shield the family from them, there are 2 meeting places. The Clarion Moose at 9am or at the Redbank Valley High School at 930.

Unspeakable insensitivity. Shame on you.

To Solomons Words: no need to post, but I was not sure how to give this FB otherwise. This is very sad, my heart goes out to the family and I think it is important to raise awareness of what is still happening. However, how is this appropriate for a local news blog, the loved ones at closest are almost 2 hours away, you don't even cover events that happen in Wellsboro or Mansfield unless it's enormous.

rest in peace an thank you for your service..

@6:39 How is it appropriate for you to question what someone else puts on their own blog? If you don't appreciate Jim's efforts, get your news elsewhere. Or start your own blog to cover what you think ought to be covered. Geez, some people just love to complain.

This young man died for this nation, although his family is 2 hours away, his sacrifice was for every person in this entire country!

This is 6:39....thank you for setting me straight. I misunderstood this as a Local News Blog. I'm not a complainer but have a back ground in journalism and find anything under the disquise as news needs to be anything less then unbias, well covered and relevent to it's readers. If I wanted to research the news myself I would have pursued a career in journalism instead of reading THIS news blog.
Dubious only 1.5 hours away, gets coverage. Bradford atleast an hour gets coverage. Wellsboro an hour very little coverage.

PS anyone who publises anything for the public to read shall and should expect to recieve critisim from it's readers. With that comes improvement.

Semper Fi and rest in peace.
So sorry for the family in their loss. No protesting please. Show some respect and let the family grieve in privacy. I had a son in the Marines and he did 2 tours in Iraq when Operation Freedom started. Thank God he returned safely but it has left many scars on him. Thank you Sgt. Garrison. You made the Ultimate Sacrifice.

A solider who died for this Country isn't local news.....you're sad 9:07. I say that with the hopes that you won't misunderstand.

Sgt. Garrison was a wrestler for Redbank Valley HS and was known by several families (including mine) and had several friends in the area. GodSpeed Joe Garrison, thank you for your selflessness and your sacrifice.

9:07 could have used a little more background in humanity?!

My prayers for this young soldiers family, no matter where they live.
