Theodore (Ted) Osani, 75, of Wellsboro, PA

Theodore (Ted) Osani, 75, of Wellsboro, died June 13, 2011, at home. He was born Oct. 3, 1935, in Galeton, Pa., the son of the late Charles and Filide Meucci Osani.

Ted was employed at North Penn Gas Company and after 38 years of service retired as Construction Foreman. Ted enjoyed many hunting trips out West with his friends and family. He was active in the shooting sports and was a member of the Nessmuk Rod and Gun Club, National Rifle Association and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation.

He is survived by his wife, Jane, with whom he celebrated 39 years of marriage on June 10, 2011. Also surviving is his daughter, Tonda (Allen) Harer of Mansfield; son, Tony Osani of Madison, Ala.; stepdaughters, Carol Ruff of Fleetwood, N.C., Karen (Timothy) Sick of Wellsboro, Denise (David) Mattison of Middlebury Center; a granddaughter, Rachel Roupp of Mansfield; grandsons, John and Nick Osani of Madison, Ala.; step granddaughters, Jennifer Barnes and fiance, Ronnie Atkins of Fleetwood, N.C., Tiffany Ruff of Fleetwood, N.C., Anne (Chad) Chaborek of Covington, Pa., Kristen (Christopher) Edkin of Blossburg; stepgrandsons, Bradley (Taryn) Sick of Hummelstown, Matthew Sick of Wellsboro, Pa., Brandon (Jamie) Mattison of Middlebury Center; step great-grandchildren, Joseph Edkin, McKayla Edkin, twins Zayne and Alyssa Edkin, all of Blossburg, Cody and Christian Barnes and Cameron Atkins of Fleetwood, N.C., Lauren, Emily and Lydia Mattison of Middlebury Center, and Adesyn Chaborek of Covington. Ted is survived by his sister, Beatrice Cole of Kansas; brother, Joseph (Colleen) Osani of Ohio; sister-in-law, Patricia Osani of Port Allegany; brother-in-law, Dale (Iva) Sherman of Wellsboro and Fred Pagano of Florida, and many nieces and nephews.

Ted was preceded in death by daughter, Teresa Osani; step-granddaughter, Stosha Phillips; brothers Geno, Charles and Herman; sisters, Rita Grammatica and Nella Pagano.

Friends will be received at the Wilston Funeral Home, 130 S. Main St., Mansfield, Pa., Thursday 6 to 8:30 p.m. Recitation of Rosary will follow there at 8:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10 a.m. at Saint Peter's Catholic Church, 38 Central Ave., Wellsboro, with Rev. John L. Chmil, celebrant. Burial in Wellsboro Cemetery.
