...its ELSE, not ELTS....it sounds right but it's not spelled like it sounds....not trying to be picky, just helpful.

Unfortunately with todays society, the internet and texting has destroyed our ability to spell.

Thoughts and prayers go out to those suffering loss and those giving of themselves to help.

Hey lets save the criticizim for another time! A family lost their home today and you want to talk about someones spelling we all make typing mistakes! Get over it!

Praying for the Smiths and the firefighters and ems out there...

So sorry for the Smith family's loss...they are great people. Prayers going out to them and all those helping with this fire.

I feel horrible for the family. Sending prayers to them and the EMS personnel on scene and standing by at the stations. It's a tough job without relentless heat. I commend all they do.

Reminder...when you see the flashing lights of EMS vehichle coming at you or behind you get off the road and let them through.

to 6:21.... I pray for the Smith's too, & all of the firefighters, & I was a member of ems myself. But like I said, I wasn't being picky...or CRITICAL like you said, nothing to get over, I don't really care, just trying to be helpful. I receive poster 6:20's comment. Yours, however? Well, what goes around comes around. YOU get over it!

Hows it going? I hope they have it out and everyone is safe!

I thought there was an emergency road that could be opened up between CARP and Avenue A instead of sending everyone over Dingman Run Road or North Hollow Road when Route 44/49 was closed due to fire !!

Anonymous said...

The road between carp & Ave. A was open but according to scanner it ended up as a traffic jam.

Anonymous said...

8:18pm -- that road has become a private road.

yes it was dr smiths house. I sent in a few more pictures. There were no injuries, and everyone made it out okay. The road is open now so any traffic can get through. The house is three houses up from Mosch's on the left side. I think the address is 785 north main. Not positive though.

My heart goes out to this family, I know how devastating this feels and I am heartbroken they have to go through this.... I know Coudersport is a wonderful town that will pull together and do whatever they can. If there is anything at all that is needed do not hesitate to ask...

Anonymous said...

Do I dare ask w/out being criticized?, but who is Dr. Smith? and how did the fire start? my thoughts & prayers go out to this family, had a house fire myself & it is devastating!

Dr. Smith is an amazing asset to the CCMH Pediatric office. We have loved having her involved in our children's health care! I will keep my eyes open in hopes that there is something, anything, that we can do for her and her family!

1:53 AM, Dr Wust Smith is a pediatrician at the hospital. Her daughter is involved in a lot of community things like the Save Our Area Pool program. They're the nicest people around.

Feel horrible for Dr Smith and her family...such caring and gentle family. I am praying for you and most important everyone is safe. The VOLUNTEERS of the fire companies are priceless..they were in full gear on the hottest day of the year trying to save someone's home! While the rest of us were trying to cool off. Thank you! How did the fire start?
