John Francis “Jack” Holleran, 88, of Kingwood, WV

John Francis “Jack” Holleran, 88, of Kingwood, passed away Wednesday, July 13,2011, at Heartland of Preston County.

He was born January 2, 1923, in Mansfield, PA, a son of the late Joseph and Margaret Hamilton Holleran.

John was the developer of the Holleran Addition in Kingwood. He owned and operated Holleran Construction Company, was a member of the Preston Lodge # 90 AF & AM, Osiris Shrine, the Morgantown VFW Post, a lifetime member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 2391 in Kingwood and the Elks Club in Oakland, MD. He served in the US Army during WWII.

He is survived by two sisters, Mary Jane Scoefield and Roxanna Behn, a daughter, LaRue Holleran Williams, his first wife, Marge Osgood and their four children, Susan Brown, Patricia Stenlund, James Holleran and Daniel Holleran; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Frances A. Smith Holleran and a brother, Joseph Holleran.
