Mona J. Speedy, 70, of 2 Bushnell Street, passed away, Wednesday, July 20th, 2011 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.
Born February 25, 1941, in Limestone, she was a daughter of the late Frederick M. and Iris M. (Mull) Speedy.
Ms. Speedy was a 1958 graduate of Limestone High School and attended Airline Stewardess school in Minnesota. She had been employed at Airco Speers and for the last 15 years at her favorite job, Futures Rehabilitation Center.
Surviving are two sisters, Dolores Hatch of Limestone and Shirley K. Speedy of Troy, NY, a brother, George Speedy of Camden, SC and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister Donna Hatch and two brothers D. Fred Speedy and Gary Speedy.
Family will be receiving friends on Friday, July 22, 2011 from 6:00 to 8:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. East Main Street and again on Saturday, July 23rd, from 9:30 to 10:00 where funeral and committal services will be held at 10:00am with Rev. William Watson, pastor of the Foursquare Gospel Church officiating. Burial will be in Limestone Cemetery.
