Just a question.. why doesnt the fire department get some of the proceeds of this event?

Anonymous said...

Did the fire dept. ask for a proceeds? I know Port gives the money to several local non-profit organizations. All of which show up to help by selling admission tickets, food, 50/50 tickets, ect.

I would think that whoever has helped prepare and plan this event from the fire dept. would have made sure that a portion of the money goes to them.

Has anyone from the fire dept. given anytime to this event? When the fire dept. has their chicken-bar-b-q's how much of those proceeds go to the youth football or library?

This event was started as a benefit for S.W Smith library last year. You could make the same argument about any not for profit organization within the two counties of why they don't get funds. Each organization has their own fund drives.

Just to confirm: Coudy Rowdies will ride again on Saturday! All past Rowdies and other rowdy fans should meet at McDonald's at noon. We can work on the dildine banners there as McDonalds is blocking off a set of tables to spread out the banners. Bring some car window paint if you think of it. We can probably car pool down to Port. This ought to be a hoot! Are the cheerleaders prepared to lead us with the chant??? LOL!

I remember the Coudy Rowdies! I wonder who is left? Henry Lob, Denny Pesock, Donny Schneider, Beak and Booger for sure. Smitty was in that crew too I think. We'll be at the Mickey D's on Saturday at noon to help with banners.

This is great!!!!
I'll be at Mickey Ds' at noon Saturday. We have window paint leftover from the girls softball playoffs. You guys sure we can take banners? Don't want a repeat of Clarion. After all that work that really sucked.
