It's a wonderful program and love to watch the games. I'm concerned at of the heat index tonight. Might have been better to schedule an early morning game tomorrow..BTW most parents crowd into the shade to watch while the kids are on the hot sunny field!

very fortunate to have this in our own backyard...great night of baseball last night....4 classy teams playing their hearts out!!! Wish the same could be said for a minority of the parents.....I know, every sport has them.......

Some observations...

some "helpful" dads trying to steal signs from the other team.

Parents criticizing volunteer umpires, coaches and players..

Again, this was the minority of people...but, nonetheless left an impression....

Let's not loose sight of what's truly important this weekend..

Hats off to the Shinglehouse baseball association for hosting!!

Best of luck to all teams!!

4:39, they made a rule a few years ago that parents were no longer allowed to hold umbrella's for their kids while they are on the field. Holding there hand when they got up to bat has been eliminated too, but you are permitted to tie their shoes and wipe their nose.

Hey 4:39...If that were your kid out there playing in this extreme heat and humidity and he or she got heat stroke and died, would you still make snide remarks about holding umbrellas and wiping their nose? You are probably one of these interfering parents that push their kids to excell in everything and a poor sport to boot. Shame on you!

It's hard to believe no matter what it is or how good something is or could be, we can still find a way to bitch & moan & put a negative spin on it. On a brighter side, great job Potter-McKean. All three age groups win Districts & play in sectionals. Not many leagues can claim a clean sweep like that!

very well said 4:03

Well S.O.R.R.Y! But people like 4:39 ask for it when they make comments like that. There ARE 2 sides to every story and if you don't want a response from a comment like that, I would say don't print ones like 4:39. Yes it is good that they have sports like this for the kids but it HAS been too hot to be out playing in it and some towns have even cancelled games because of it.
