Police Attempting To Identify Vehicle Seen Destroying Mailboxes

Three more cases of Mailbox Mayhem are under investigation, and this time police have a description of the vehicle to go on.

On August 2/3--Unknown actor(s) destroyed a mailbox located on East Carley Hill Road owned by Kathleen A. Siroka. Anyone with information should contact PSP at 814-274-8690. Trooper Jenary is the investigator.

On August 8 at about 1:30 am, Mailboxes owned by John Martin Stilson, of Rt. 44 South, Shinglehouse, PA, and Stephen Michael Trupe, of Rt. 44 South, Shinglehouse, PA, were damaged with a blunt instrument. Witnesses saw a dark colored SUV that fled the locations and was last seen traveling south on Post Hollow Road.

Damages were estimated at $35.00 each.

The investigation is ongoing and helpful information will be appreciated by investigating troopers. Trooper John Whitcomb is the investigator.

This is a FEDERAL offense, not some hahahaha joy ride. If convicted you could spend time in the BIG HOUSE, NOT the county jail.

Next time you visit the Post Office ask to see the law on file there.

I'm sure some federal prosecutor will take the case. They don't have enough to do now. Best way to deal with this is to take a blunt instrument to the criminals, not think the feds will prosecute.
