Sandra Eaton Solinger, 61, of Erie and formerly of Eldred, Pa.

Sandra Eaton Solinger, 61, of Erie and formerly of Eldred, Pa., died Tuesday evening August 2, 2011 at UPMC Hamot.

A resident of Erie since 1978 she was born in Olean, N.Y. on April 4, 1950 a daughter of Winifred Nichols Eaton Cordner and the late Edward "Ben" Eaton.

Sandra worked at Wegman's for 7 years and most recently worked at Gospel Hill Golf Course. She enjoyed arts and crafts, golfing, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her father she was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Eaton; her stepmother, Janet Eaton; and her stepdaughter, Robin Faulkerson. In addition to her mother and stepfather, Kenneth Cordner of Bradford, survivors include her husband of 37 years, Larry D. Solinger; one daughter, Nicole Solinger Ross of Louisville, Ky.; two stepsons, Mark Solinger of Grove City and Jeff Solinger and his wife Robin of Richmond, Va.; one stepdaughter, Kimberly Hugel of Oil City; one stepsister, Kim Westlake and her husband Dan of Bradford; one stepbrother, Bruce Cordner of Eldred, Pa.; her half sister, Stella Eaton of Smethport, Pa.; four grandchildren, Jake, Maddie, Anna, and Caleb; four step grandchildren, Morgan, Charkie, Casey, and Kyle. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Russell C. Schmidt & Son Funeral Home Inc., 5000 Wattsburg Road, on Friday afternoon at 2 p.m. officiated by Rev. William Cox, Pastor of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
